Our family of four found peace and pleasure on Airielle, a 46 foot cutter, as we sailed from Newport RI to Cutty Hunk, Martha's Vineyard and Hadley Bay and back again. Bruce was our expert captain, and we enjoyed his renaissance knowledge and gourmet cooking skills. We navigated between islands, rocks and reefs, had the luxury of long tacks for sunning and reading, and had time to swim, kayak, and explore the islands. We woke up each morning to the sunrise and strong coffee and feasted on a menu of fresh seafood, fruit, and vegetables served in Mediterranean, Mexican, and Thai cuisines. This vacation was wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating. Unplug with Captain Bruce, and your batteries will be recharged.

I joined Bruce Swabb for a three day plein air boat trip which I initially hesitated taking. I have never spent time on a boat before and wasn't sure how I would feel about it. I was also not sure of whether I'd be able to paint from the boat. Certainly it was going to be a first on multiple fronts. I am absolutely thrilled I went! Not only did the boat turn out to be a conducive painting platform but I had vantage points I would never otherwise have access to. Sailing was exciting, relaxing, and fun. Bruce was the ultimate Captain and host treating us to a perfect experience all around. None of us artists wanted this to end.

Bruce:
We really enjoyed our 3 hour tour on the lovely Airielle.
You made our wedding day so special for me, my bride, and our small party.
When the conditions were right we were moving gracefully under full sail across the harbor to Ellis Island.
When the wind died down, the party continued as we motored upstream back to the marina, watching Manhattan light up.
The food was great as was the company.
Thanks
